Gretchen Wolf Swartz Sportsmanship Award

GWS-Web_Site Gretchen Wolf Swartz was a member of our chapter and refereed girl’s high school basketball from 1981 until 1995. Following her untimely death in 1997, the Chapter, in coordination with fellow York County Interscholastic Athletic Association officials, set up a sportsmanship award and scholarship to honor her memory. Gretchen embodied the spirit of, and outwardly displayed, good sportsmanship on and off the court. It is in memory of her high dedication and purpose that the award and scholarship were conceived.
